Website Privacy & Cookies Notice
This notice explains what happens to your information when you use sabea.com.au and the MyFinancials client portal — what our forms collect, the analytics and advertising tools we use, and the choices you have.
This notice covers our websites. It sits alongside — and does not replace — the privacy policy that governs how your information is handled when we provide credit assistance. That policy is available at lmg.broker/consumer-privacy, and the Privacy Collection Statement you agree to when submitting a finance enquiry sets out the credit-specific authorisations in full.
Who we are
Sabea Pty Ltd (ABN 86 653 823 253), Credit Representative No. 539 662, of 16 The Centre, Forestville NSW 2087. Sabea Pty Ltd Credit Representatives are appointed under BLSSA Pty Ltd (ABN 69 117 651 760), Australian Credit Licence 391237.
If you have a question about anything in this notice, contact us at info@sabea.com.au or 1300 001 755.
Information you give us directly
Our enquiry forms collect your name, email address, phone number, the type of enquiry you are making, and any message you choose to write. Nothing on this website requires you to provide information — you can read every page without submitting anything.
When you submit an enquiry, those details are stored in our client management system and emailed to the broker who will respond to you. We use them to answer your enquiry and to contact you about it. If you go on to become a client, your information is then handled under the credit privacy policy linked above.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and move through our websites — which pages are read, which are ignored, and where visitors arrive from. This helps us decide what to write and what to fix.
Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information including the pages you visit, roughly where you are (derived from your IP address, which Google does not make available to us), your device and browser type, and the site or search that referred you. It is used across both sabea.com.au and myfinancials.sabea.com.au, so a visit that begins on our website and continues into the portal is recognised as one session rather than two.
What we deliberately do not send
On the MyFinancials portal, some page addresses can contain personal details — an invitation link includes the email address it was sent to, and a password-reset link contains a security token. Before anything is sent to Google Analytics, we strip the page address back to the page itself and discard everything else, so those details are never transmitted. We keep only campaign parameters, which identify the marketing source and contain nothing about you.
We have also turned off Google Signals and advertising personalisation on the portal, so activity there is not used to build advertising audiences.
Advertising
Our website includes the Meta Pixel, which allows us to measure the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show ads to people who have visited our site. It sets cookies and reports page views and similar activity back to Meta, who may combine that with information they already hold about you.
You can control how Meta uses your information for advertising through the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. The ones used here fall into two groups:
- Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics, which tell us how the site is used.
- Advertising cookies, set by the Meta Pixel, which support advertising measurement.
Our homepage also stores a small preference in your browser recording which section of the site you chose, so you are not asked again on your next visit. That preference stays in your browser, is not sent anywhere, and clears itself after 90 days.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using the site.
Things we deliberately do not do
- We do not load fonts from third parties. Our typefaces are served from our own servers, so viewing a page does not tell any font provider that you were here.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not require an account to read anything on sabea.com.au.
The MyFinancials client portal
The portal at myfinancials.sabea.com.au is where clients complete a fact find, upload documents and track an application. It is behind a login, it is not indexed by search engines, and the information you provide there is handled under the credit privacy policy linked at the top of this page.
The analytics described above operate on the portal in the restricted form set out under What we deliberately do not send.
The MyFinancials mobile app
MyFinancials is also available as an app for iPhone and Android. It shows the same information as the portal, and everything above applies to it. Two things are specific to the app.
Biometric data (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint)
The MyFinancials app offers an optional biometric lock. This uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework, which performs the match entirely on your device and returns only a pass/fail result to the app. Sabea does not collect, receive, store, transmit or share your face or fingerprint data, and no biometric data is available to us at any time. Your biometric templates never leave the Secure Enclave on your device. You can turn the biometric lock off at any time in Settings. The equivalent applies on Android, where the match is performed by the device's own biometric hardware.
Notifications
The app can notify you when your application reaches a milestone or a request you lodged is completed. Notifications are optional — the app works the same without them. You are asked once, you can decline, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings. To deliver them we store a device notification token, which we delete when you turn notifications off or sign out.
Raffi, our AI assistant
MyFinancials includes an optional AI assistant called Raffi, powered by Claude, a service provided by Anthropic, PBC. If you choose to use Raffi, we send Anthropic the message you type together with limited context: your name, how far through the fact find you are, whether your account is pre-settlement or settled, your broker's name, and your loan application's current milestone.
What we never send to Raffi
We do not send your documents, bank statements, income figures, property values, contact details or identification. Anthropic processes your chat to generate a reply and does not use it to train their models; their handling is governed by Anthropic's commercial terms and privacy policy, which provide protections equivalent to those described in this notice.
You are asked for your explicit permission before anything is sent to Anthropic, and nothing is sent unless you agree. You can use every other part of MyFinancials without ever using Raffi. Raffi gives general information only — it is not financial advice, and anything personal to your situation is a question for your broker.
Your choices
- Analytics: install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser.
- Advertising: adjust ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account, or block advertising cookies in your browser.
- Marketing emails: every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
- Marketing texts: reply STOP to any message and we will not text you again.
- App notifications: decline the prompt, or turn them off any time in Settings.
- The biometric app lock: optional — turn it on or off in Settings.
- Raffi: optional — nothing is sent to Anthropic unless you agree, and the rest of the app works without it.
- Do Not Track: most browsers offer this signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, and we do not currently act on it — the controls above are effective where it is not.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Contact us at info@sabea.com.au and we will explain what is needed.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information or your complaint, the credit privacy policy at lmg.broker/consumer-privacy sets out the full complaints process, including the external dispute resolution scheme available to you. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when the tools we use or the information we collect change, and the date at the top will change with it.
